Our Navigation Support Services

In these darkest moments, when the world feels as if it has paused, ABC of Southwest Texas is here to offer gentle guidance and steadfast support.

Our no-cost services are available to:

  • Parents/guardians who have lost a child (pregnancy through 17 years)
  • Families residing in Bexar County or 16 surrounding counties
  • All families regardless of income

Funeral Navigation Support

  • Expert, compassionate guidance navigating affordable funeral home services.
  • Support with casket or urn selections
  • Assistance with securing a burial plot in our ABC Garden at Chapel Hill Cemetery
  • Compassionate support connecting families to additional resources as needed

Grief Support Services

  • Up to 8 counseling sessions with a trusted grief counselor of your choice from our approved list
  • Compassionate guidance for every family member
  • Flexible scheduling to fit your needs
  • Ongoing connection to helpful resources

Monthly Support Groups

  • Gatherings on the last Wednesday of each month, with earlier sessions in May/June and November/December to offer support before the holidays
  • A compassionate space to share, be heard, and feel safe being vulnerable
  • Opportunities to connect with other families experiencing similar loss
  • Ongoing access to community resources and support
